Get organic social media data and export the data into Looker Studio

  1. Click on ‘Get the template’
  2. Once at the template, several authorization pop-up windows may appear, close them all.
  3. Click on the ‘Use my own data’ button at the top
  4. Hover over the data source to find the data source name, you’ll need this later. If there is a ‘Query type’ name you’ll need this too.
  5. Click ‘Replace data’.
  6. In the ‘Connect to data’ menu, search for the corresponding Supermetrics data source (ie. Facebook Ads, Instagram Insights etc.).
  7. Follow the instructions to connect your data to the template.
  8. If applicable, choose the ‘Query type’ name from step 3, then click ‘Next’.
  9. Click ‘Add’, then repeat the steps 2 to 7 with the other data sources/query types.
  10. Click ‘Edit and Share’ - this will generate a copy of the template for you to start analyzing your data effortlessly.
  11. If the edit button doesn't appear or errors show on the new copy, reload the page or find the template copy on the Looker Studio homepage .
