How to use the template
To get started, make sure that you're logged in to Looker Studio. You need a Facebook user account linked to an Instagram account with the 'Manage Page' role.
- Click ‘Get the template’.
- Authenticate your account by clicking ‘Authorize’.
- Select the 'Profile posts' query type.
- Under Instagram profiles, type the name of the Instagram profile you want insights on (for example: Wikipedia). Add several profiles by separating them with a comma.
- The blue check mark next to 'allow "Instagram profiles" to be modified in reports' and ‘Use report template for new reports’ must be selected. Other parameters are optional.
- Once you’re happy, click ‘Connect’ in the top-right and then ‘Allow’.
- The next page will display all available dimensions and metrics.
- Click 'Create report'. After this, the template will fetch all your data in the report, ready for you to derive insights!
