After 14 years of leading and fostering the growth of Supermetrics, Mikael Thuneberg, the company’s founder and Co-CEO, has announced his decision to take a well-deserved break.

With Supermetrics’ continued growth and financial stability in addition to the recent strategic appointments of Co-CEO Anssi Rusi, Chief Product Officer Matthew Simmonds, and Chief Customer Officer Chris Rauch, Mikael feels confident that he is leaving the business in the very capable hands of the strategic leadership team he has built. Anssi will continue as the sole CEO of the company as Mikael intends to enjoy a well-deserved break.

Since its inception, Mikael has been the driving force behind Supermetrics, steering its growth, shaping its identity, and instilling a unique, vibrant, and inclusive culture.

“The past 14 years have been an incredible journey of growth and development for the business. With solid leadership in place, I look forward to this time to recharge. While I will take a break from the day-to-day work, I will continue to be a part of Supermetrics. I am still part of the team and remain committed to the growth and direction of the business as the biggest shareholder and chair of the board,” says Mikael.

The entire Supermetrics community extends its appreciation to Mikael for his extraordinary dedication, innovation, and leadership. Mikael is a true visionary and we are so happy that he will continue in his role as chair of the board. In the meantime, we will continue to propel Supermetrics along its exciting growth trajectory, hoping to always make Mikael proud!
