Supermetrics shipped a wave of updates in August 2026, including full Workspace, License and Team Management API access, street-level geo-targeting in Campaign Management, and three new Data Sources (TikTok Shop, Snowflake and Eloqua). August is usually the quiet month - half of Europe's on the beach and the group chat's gone suspiciously silent. Our product team didn't get the memo.

  • The Supermetrics Management API now covers workspaces, licenses, teams and account tags, so agencies and SaaS partners can automate customer onboarding end to end with no manual setup in the UI.
  • Campaign Management adds city, region, ZIP and radius targeting across Meta Ads and Google Ads, plus presence-based targeting and start and stop times to the minute.
  • Three new connectors are live: TikTok Shop, Snowflake and Eloqua.
  • TikTok Ads adds Custom Audiences in Data Activation, plus new Smart+ Ads and GMV Max campaign reporting.
  • Two changes need action from you: Klaviyo now requires OAuth (API keys were retired 28 July), and some Facebook Ads fields became opt-in on 6 August.
  • Supermetrics Wishlist is live — log in with your Supermetrics credentials to submit feature ideas and vote on what we build next.
  • Verdict: if you run reporting for multiple clients, the Management API is the update to act on this month. If you buy media, it's the Campaign Management targeting upgrade.

Supermetrics Management API now covers workspaces, licenses and teams

The Supermetrics Management API now covers workspaces, licenses, teams and account tags. You can create a workspace, add licenses, add and assign users, connect data sources, and set up transfers and backfills — including custom fields, blending, and custom connectors — all through the API. You can also generate a workspace's API keys directly from its parent team.

Agencies and SaaS platforms building on Supermetrics can automate onboarding end to end, removing the manual workspace-setup step from client onboarding altogether. Smaller in-house teams won't need the full onboarding flow, but the same endpoints are useful for one job: creating a fresh workspace per client or per campaign period without rebuilding data sources by hand. Enterprise teams can generate a workspace's API keys directly from its parent team, which keeps credential management inside existing provisioning.

The alternative to the Management API is doing the same work in the UI: creating each workspace, adding licenses, connecting every data source and configuring backfills by hand for every new client. For an agency onboarding several clients a month, that's real hours of manual setup work each time — work that now runs as a script instead.

Management API access uses your existing Supermetrics credentials, follows standard API rate limits, and availability depends on your plan — check with your account team if you're not sure whether it's included.

Full endpoint reference, authentication and rate limits are in the Supermetrics Management API documentation.

Campaign Management: target by city, region, ZIP code or radius across Meta and Google Ads

Campaign Management can now target down to a city, region, ZIP code or a radius around a specific point, across Meta Ads, Google Ads and MCP (the Model Context Protocol server, which lets AI assistants run Supermetrics actions). You can also reach people who are physically present in a location rather than just interested in it, link a Google Business Profile location straight to a campaign, and work with saved Meta audiences more easily.

These updates were shaped by testing with agency partners like Layer, who ran the Meta Ads and Google Ads write flow end-to-end on real client campaigns.

Target by city, region, ZIP code or radius

Targeting now goes down to the city, region, ZIP code, or a radius around any point, with radius targeting available on both Meta Ads and Google Ads.

Fixed: campaign end dates shifting by a day in timezones east of UTC

Campaign end dates no longer drift a day for accounts east of UTC — the connector now fetches the ad account's actual timezone from Meta. Campaigns can also start and stop at a specific time, not just a date.

Clearer errors on invalid destinations and placements

Invalid destinations or placements now come back with a plain explanation instead of a generic error code, so you can see what to fix without guessing.

New connectors: TikTok Shop, Snowflake and Eloqua

TikTok Shop connector

The Supermetrics TikTok Shop connector is now available, bringing shop and order performance data into Looker Studio, Google Sheets, Excel and BigQuery.

Snowflake connector

The Supermetrics Snowflake connector is now available, connecting Snowflake with your Supermetrics reporting and data workflows.

Eloqua connector

The Oracle Eloqua connector is now available, bringing email and nurture performance data into your reporting destinations — built for teams running email alongside paid media.

You can connect the TikTok Shop, Snowflake and Eloqua connectors from Supermetrics Hub.

TikTok Ads (Custom Audiences) arrives in Data Activation

TikTok Ads (Custom Audiences), the audience-sync destination, is now live in Supermetrics Data Activation. This is separate from the TikTok Shop connector above, which pulls sales data in, and from TikTok Ads reporting below. Setup is fully self-service, with no TikTok developer account and no code.

Build an audience in Data Activation from your first-party data, and Supermetrics keeps it synced with TikTok automatically as people join or leave — no manual list upkeep required. As with any custom audience platform, larger, well-matched lists tend to activate more reliably than very small ones.

TikTok Ads: reporting for Smart+ Ads and GMV Max campaigns

This is TikTok Ads reporting — the connector you already use for TikTok Ads campaigns — not the Custom Audiences destination above. It now covers two of TikTok's newest campaign types. Smart+ Ads — TikTok's fully automated, AI-driven ad product — can now be reported on down to the creative level. GMV Max Campaigns, TikTok's shoppable livestream and product ad format, now get full reporting across account, campaign, product, creative, and livestream levels, enriched with store and product metadata. Together, these give ecommerce and social commerce teams a complete view of TikTok's automated and shoppable formats alongside the rest of their reporting. Full field list: TikTok Ads field reference.

Facebook Ads: new recommendation fields

Facebook Ads now surfaces Meta's ad recommendations directly in your reporting. Eight new fields are available: Recommendation type, Recommendation lift estimate, Recommendation opportunity score lift, Recommendation URL, Recommendation signature, Recommendation stage, Recommendation time and Recommendation text. These are live now in Sheets, Looker Studio, Excel, and AI chat destinations (Claude, ChatGPT and the MCP server), with data warehouse and API support following in the coming weeks.

Action required: Facebook Ads impression device and hour-of-day fields are now opt-in

Since 6 August 2026, Meta has required ad accounts to opt in before returning the impression device and hour-of-day fields. If your account hasn't opted in, these fields return empty in Supermetrics until an admin enables the setting in Meta Ads Manager.

If your impression device or hour-of-day columns went blank in August, this is why.

As of 13 August 2026, Meta hasn't published enablement instructions — we'll update this section with the steps as soon as they're available.

X Ads: restored metrics, renamed fields and a new DMA dimension

X Ads has restored several engagement metrics and mobile conversion metrics (available only for ad accounts with MACT enabled), renamed Sign-ups to Leads, and added a DMA field. X has also deprecated a number of segment dimensions it no longer offers; only Gender, Age, Country and Platform remain.

Snapchat Marketing: creative thumbnails in your reports

Snapchat Marketing now shows creative thumbnails directly across your reporting destinations, so you can preview ad creative without leaving your destination.

Action required: Klaviyo now requires OAuth login

Klaviyo's API key login was retired on 28 July 2026. If your Klaviyo queries have started failing with an authentication error, reconnect the data source using OAuth in Supermetrics Hub. Existing queries keep their settings once you reconnect.

Supermetrics Wishlist: tell us what to build next

We've launched Supermetrics Wishlist, a new home for feature requests. It's the place where you can submit an idea and upvote the ones other customers have already posted - a new data connector you'd like to see, an extra field or metric on a connector you already use, or a workflow change that would save your team time are all fair game.

Log in with your existing Supermetrics credentials to post an idea or vote, and you'll be able to see what everyone else is asking for too. That visibility is the point: it gives our product and innovation team real context and business value behind every request, so we keep building what our growing customer base actually needs. Have a request? Head to wishlist.supermetrics.com and share your ideas.

The verdict, and what to do next

If you manage reporting for multiple clients, the Management API is the update worth acting on this month — it's the difference between onboarding a client by hand and onboarding them by script. If you buy media, start with the new radius and presence targeting in Campaign Management.

Two changes need action either way: reconnect Klaviyo with OAuth, and check whether your Meta ad accounts have opted into the impression device and hour-of-day fields.
